In fairness tho, the Mercator projection really does frick up most people’s sense of geography.

Mercator projection was never supposed to be a world map. It's for navigation.

Living in Trinidad you would be disgusted to see your US tax dollars at work. Big IDB headquarters, PAHO just built a huge building, though Im not certain what all those people are supposed to be doing.
UN just leased out a big building. Down the street is a huge building filled with their parasite NGOs with these non descript names doing who knows what.
World bank just announced they are setting up a headquarters here.
Its not just the cost of the buildings and the salaries.....they are doling out millions on ignorant stuff.

This is just a thumb in Trump's eye because he is rightfully changing the names of Gulf of America, Lake America. Can we just get rid of the UN.

Google earth has the best depiction. As you sign, the world is round and can be rolled to your area of interest. As you zoom in, you have the choice of 2-D or 3-D displays. Zooming in still further you can see pictorial street level displays that accurately show the trashy nature of Africa and India.
