Is it not now clear that the pandemic is a lie? Just another hoax.

I heard wearing underwear on your head is the most effective...

Why do you lie about being a medical professional?

What...you want me to post my diploma..and license so you can harass me...Nope...I really don't give 2 shits if you don't believe me. Lived at good ole Power Dorm...graduated with a major in Zoology...and a minor in English. Went to LSUMC-S'port. Dr. Penny was my 'favorite' anatomy teacher...what a cranky butthole he was. David Desha is the nicest man on the planet. Then Earl K. Long and BR General for residency with Sarah D'Autremont and Johnny Jones and crew for attendings. That's plenty of proof for those in the know...

Nobody cares how many names you drop.

No actual medical professional equates a surgery team properly wearing PPE in a sterile environment, and the reasons for doing it, with the way and reasons the general public is wearing “masks” today the way you did in the mask thread earlier.

Not the same type of masks, not even remotely close...

Not according to the Duke Study...a surgical mask was damn close to as effective. Though, I agree, I n-95 up when I know and highly suspect Covid...for the extra 1.5% protection.

Not sure about flip flops...when the virus was less well understood...and they thought it was a contact spread issue...that were too high on mask. Now, it's better understood and masks are clearly recommended by the ID folks.

Why have we never worn masks during flu season then if they work so well?

Great question. In some countries...they do. But, this virus is new...and our immune systems don't know how to handle it. Unlike flu which rarely causes ARDS (a severe inflammatory response in the lungs that can lead to respiratory failure and death), this bug causes that response at a much higher rate. With no immunity...and no vaccine to induce immunity, there are no real weapons to fight it off...so better to prevent it.

False. 80% of people who’ve never had Covid 19 can mount an immune response to it.

Not as protection for the wearer, unless they are N95 masks...

That explains the absurdly high asymptomatic rates and the fact that less than 20% of passengers on cruise ships and military vessels became infected after being unknowingly exposed for days.

Should have said some...but even if your 80% number is right....which it may be...that leaves and 2 out of 10 who get walloped by it. And even healthy patients who beat this thing back (as pointed out...the vast majority)...have more severe, prolonged symptoms versus the flu.

Not according to the Duke study. Surgical masks are a close 2nd.

This is laughable at best...

like I said, you hear what you want to hear... Also, I am not going to question whether you are a medical professional but I will questions your quality as such based on the crap you are spewing...
