Definitely not. Quorum rules are in place to compel legislators to show up and engage in the legislative process, and to prevent a minority rule.
The Democrats are weaponizing the tool meant to prevent minority rule by engaging in minority rule by obstruction.
Abbott and Paxton should use every arrow in their quivers to compel them to return as this is a dereliction of their responsibility to legislate.

Hopefully Abbot is busy signing a bunch of warrants for their arrest and includes some large fines on a daily accrual basis.

The Republicans will take an L on this no matter how it goes. The Democrats outsmarted them. Arresting them outside of Texas seems illegal to me. I could see nabbing them in Texas, but I don’t believe a court would uphold it outside of Texas. If Abbott and Paxton get them expelled from the House, that will be thrown out quickly. Unfortunately, the Democrats have proved again that they’re smarter than the good guys. There will not be a redrawn map.

If doesn't happen in special session bc they aren't there, it will happen in regular session.
I'm not a fan of how this is going down, but the Dems aren't gonna win.
