You have no fricking idea why a quorum was originally intended and why the practices followed
Was it so the minority party could flee the state to prevent passage of laws?[

The pedocrats have changed everything.

So I'm sorry that you aren't educated enough to understand this but it's still a law
Seems like you're the one either stupid or playing stupid by overlooking what the pedocrat trash is doing.

Didn't the AG threaten arrests for those who abandon their positions and leave? Bout a week ago

but yes
Denying a quorum has always been a matter of parliamentary procedure in Western civilisations/democracies
Now it was never allowed in places like the Soviet Union or China

I get your point; I’m just getting old and sick of assholes. Help the guy learn without making him feel like shite. He wasn’t aggressive, just ignorant.
PS - Those weird looking things between some of my words are called punctuation.

The session ends Aug. 19th. Abbott can call for another one. In the meantime it will be fines. Soros will probably pay it is my guess.

Also I tend to return the energy I'm given, so when people have asked me honest questions, I have responded to them with honest and sincere replies.
And as illustrated in this response, I do know how and can use proper punctuation, it's just not important enough to me, especially considering that in part my conversation is in jest.

quote:Yes, Abbott will call as many special sessions as is necessary, but if the Republicans get out the redistricting they have..and don't have a quorm, Another special session may be called, but Republicans may not be in Austin en masse just in numbers they'll rotate them to push things along

It doesn't have to be Soros, like I said, a lot of the state senators and state representatives, or lawyers that are being hired to represent people in civil cases or probate cases or criminal cases. There's a Texas state law that when a legislature is your attorney, that is an automatic reason to delay the trial
That is completely legal, nothing can be done about it, and Democrats can use that to fund themselves and the non-lawyer democrats' expenses while out of state. Also, campaign funds can be used. GoFundMe can be started, liberals and democrats across the country are already giving to the fund to allow democrat state legislators from Texas to stay out of state
And Texas Republicans and Trump know this, they were aware of this before this process ever started again
Grown-ups know what's going on for the rest of you this is nothing more than political theater

Is the Dems plan to stay out of state until the Mid terms have finished in Texas over a year from now on Tuesday, November 3, 2026?
