It’s not possible to bridge the gulf between globalist/communist left and nationalist/capitalist right.

There will either be a split or one side will be subjugated.

If CA voted to secede I would let them go as long as they agree not to enter any foreign defense agreements, didn’t allow foreign troops within their borders and the US got to hold on to San Diego or another deep water port for naval and commercial shipping purposes.

Without CA the remaining nation would see 54 electoral votes a net of 28 house votes and two senate seats come off the board and the right would have a permanent majority. If OR/WA went with them it would swing to 74 electoral seats, 6 senators and a net of 44 house seats come off the board.
