140 illegals are expected to be dropped off today; NYC mayor calls Abbott’s move “horrific.”
Abbott says there are no two better places in the US for these migrants than the sanctuary cities of NYC and WaDC and has invited the mayors of both cities to visit the Texas border.
NYC mayor says he’ll be contacting the Biden Administration for ‘support.’

Am I the only one who isn’t a fan of this? We are openly allowing illegals in our country.
If Abbott was serious about stopping illegal immigration he would put the national guard on the border instead of playing politics

The federal government has sole authority to enforce immigration laws. While Texas DPS and the National Guard can’t enforce those laws, Abbott has increased trespassing penalties under a disaster declaration and directed state troopers to arrest migrants on state trespassing charges when they are caught on private property.
Well-intentioned but totally ineffective.
Abbott‘s disaster declaration—which now covers 53 counties, most of them on or near the border—gives him the authority to deploy the Texas National Guard to the border.
The state agencies responsible for running Operation Lone Star are the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Military Department.
How much is that costing Texas taxpayers?
Operation Lone Star is costing Texas taxpayers $2.5 million every week — bringing the total border security budget to almost $3 billion for the biennium.
Why are TEXANS paying to defend the international border?
