Is that a new thing? First i've heard in these stories that twitter "suspends" someone, and they delete all their followers. Thats a new acct, not "unlocking" the original one. So now they are purging accts this way.
If this is a new thing then this is definitely set up for "conveniently" doing this weeks prior to an election.
