@elonmusk , most proven and successful entrepreneur in the world, steps up to fix this. On what business judgement basis does the Board reject this? What’s their better plan after all this time? Love to hear it.

They don't have one. The purpose of Twitter isn't to make money.

It's to shape and control the narrative.

Looks flat to me.

And certainly a complete dog relative to tech stocks over the past decade.

I see where a long term stagnant investment would trend flat, but that is the fault of the investor.
If I bought a stock at $18 I would happily sell at $45.

The idea of decentralized social media platforms, search engines, communication networks, currencies, dpvns etc. has a lot of merit for freedom, and sometimes requires trust (something that is very difficult to give to someone in growing environment and sometimes halfway across the world). Often, intruding entities seem feel the need to get a grip on it to operate within the platform (run a node etc) for the purpose to monitor, influence and control. Some of the decentralized applications are often created with the sense of free(dom) in mind, and some are often free(cost) and they are sometimes and often unprofitable even with good intentions.

Yeah, that stock is flat. It's done nothing in 10 years. Always hovering in the $40-$60 range. It's never come close to $100 a share. Its value now is the same as it was 10 years ago. Flat.

Here's what growth looks like:

Should I start where it peaked at $71, or at the beginning to where it climbed to $71?

It's cherry picking dates and data, but I understand it just fine. The only data of importance as an investor is where I see it climbing or declining to over the next 12 months.

You’ll want to average it out.

For years and years, tech stocks like apple, Facebook, Google have been named as great long term investments.

Twitter has never been in that group

an 8% return over a decade is fairly flat to me. That’s the upper end of what people expect the S&P 500 to yield in a normal year, and dramatically under what SPY has done over the decade

Well it looks to have fallen pretty sharply in the past year. Wonder what happened then? Around same time they went overboard on one sided censorship

If Twitter is another platform secretly ran by our government, they have no need to make money.
