ETA Some of you think he was kidding. I don't know anymore. He seems the same. I feel he was forced to say the following at the very beginning...

We have definitely been infuriated on this show. Tonight we want to apologize for that . the last thing America needs is more anger, yet another loud mouth red face screamer. for that we are sorry and our rage does not help. we will work to be calm and amused to keep sense of humor when things get dark.
