Pertussis is waaaaaaay more common than people realize. Zithromax treats it, so it's not economically sensible to check it routinely. I will if we are having a local endemic to confirm suspicions or if symptoms linger to help confirm correct treatment. We see it all the time.

Just because the guardian receives SNAP doesn't mean she is using it all for nourishing food for the children. Could be trading for crack, who knows. But having school lunches is really the only way to make sure those children have the opportunity to eat regular meals. Being a conservative doesn't mean you have to be a heartless dick.
