Did Trump federalize the DC police like with 68 riots? I think he can only do so for 48 hours without additional Congressional action (technically i think DC is part of legislative branch) or is this something he got mayor and police to agree plus regular federal law enforcement to without actually taking control of the police there?
Also looking at DC police I found a forgotten riot in 1991. Caused by a black female officer shooting a Hispanic male. People started attacking police and the black female mayor told them to hold off arrests initially. Police also not equipped for riot or had proper communications to show up in force with all causing it get worse. Waited until after 2nd night of riots to declare a state of emergency and put a curfew in place, but once it started to get enforced and arrests made the riots for most part basically ended.

Not dug in as much as some of you guys, that's for sure. No one can explain why nothing is happening. You can't refute it. Police lines in the "thousands" just standing there waiting for something to catch on fire or for the sound of breaking glass. Guess that's what enforcement is to the WH. Dunno. All I know is he was full of shite.
