Did anyone else catch this from the Fox interview he did last night? Trump said that he expects to appoint 2 new justices to the Supreme Court within a year. I would think this part of his interview would have been both covered and debated heavily.

Had he actually said it, it would have been big news.

TRANSCRIPT
The New Green Deal, OK, and it's got to be some kind of a joke. It's got to be -- they have to be kidding but, you know, I saw the senator from Hawaii who was so nasty to Judge Kavanaugh -- and that's another thing, we'll soon have within a period you have about two months 145 brand new federal judges and two Supreme Court judges. But she was so nasty to now judge, Justice Kavanaugh, so horrible.
His command of the English language is often ... limited.

I think he is trying to say that he will have appointed the described judges in the period beginning with his inauguration and ending two months from now. That would include Gorsuch and Kav, but it may be a bit optimistic about the number of confirmations coming in the next two months.

As of April 10, 2019, the United States Senate has confirmed 97 Article III judges nominated by President Trump, including 2 Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, 37 judges for the United States Courts of Appeals, 58 judges for the United States District Courts, and 0 judges for the United States Court of International Trade. There are currently 60 nominations to Article III courts awaiting Senate action, including 5 for the Courts of Appeals, 53 for the District Courts, and 2 for the Court of International Trade..

These would have to be Thomas and RBG.

I'm confident Clarence Thomas will retire, just as a preventative measure in case Trump doesn't win in 2020. He doesn't want to make the same overconfident mistake that RBG made. Ensure a conservative Justice replacement.

I assume RBG is the second. She hasn't been well. She doesn't have much kick left in her.

Obviously not word-smithed, but any grammatical analysis shows he was stating his record of appointing Justices/judges as it will be in another 2 months.

Nothing at all can be interpreted to mean he expects to nominate two additional SCOTUS Justices within the next year.

This is stupid - it is even too stupid for CNN to make an allegation about it.

I hate dumb shite posts like this.
