re: Trump's approval is by far the worst in seven decades

I don't post here frequently, like I used to in the past. However, this little thread has brought me out of my semi-retired state.

First, I have never, ever seen a press so against the president. If any outlet had printed anything with many of the words used to describe Trump, they would've been destroyed. He is the president of the country, and he won that fair and square. Yes, the Dems ran possibly the least liked/most hated person in the united states, but they did that of their own free will (or were strong armed into it depending if you believe some of the things out there).

With the MSM literally every day saying that Trump is a brain dead egomaniac evil genius in essence (yes, I understand the idiocy of the brain dead and evil genius together, but hey, its the media), the normal person out there gets news run through the anti trump filter.

According to the media, trump can literally do nothing right. If he were to find a cure for cancer, it would be reported as Trump hates the environment or trump adds to planet overcrowding.

Secondly, many, many people in this country on both sides like gridlock in the government because practically anything the government does is bad news.

Third, the economy seems to be strangely strong with businesses returning to the united states with decent job growth including some job growth in areas that Obama said were gone for good.

Fourth, after the world apology tour that Obama ran, anyone not willing to throw the US under the bus for another country's prosperity would ruffle some feathers.

Fifth, I kinda actually think that Trump is looking out for the US first and not the world first. Europe is wondering what is causing the large increase in terrorist attacks. They list numerous causes but none of them are simply an increasing muslim immigrant population. But in the view of the media, Trumps american first policy is drummed up as some alt white hate minority thing.

Look, has Trump done a good job? Honestly, I can't tell. There is so much static coming from the left and from the left PR firm (CNN and all the other MSM) that it is impossible to tell what is actually being done.

The country does seem to be doing well economically. Is that because of Trump or due to lingering effects of Obama? I tend to think its the former, but the latter is possible.

I think that just about everyone will agree with any number of questions asking if they think Trump is a loud mouth. I think pollsters will easily be able to contruct questions to show that many people disagree with many of the things that Trump says.

The real interesting thing is what will happen in four years? Trump continues trumping, the economy keeps growing, more businesses return, people have more money in their pocket, etc?

The truth is, Trump may very well get elected again. It is really a fascinating time. There seems to be such a huge disconnect between reality and the news reporting of it. Interesting times.

All this is to say that I really don't care what his ratings are. If the election was run again, I would vote for Trump over Clinton every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
