I disagree.
Bombing the bridges tells the Iranian people that the IRGC is not in charge. That they are not protectors. That they are weak.
The goal is to weaken the regime economically and to their morale so that a resistance spots an opening and grabs it (resistance will have to be military. It will have to be a coup).

Iran will pay for the infrastructure repairs. Full dollar for oil is a huge windfall for the economy.
Most people want a job and to raise their families. When the IRGC is the only option, they enlist there too. Show the weakness politically, militarily, and socially, and you will get a coup. The coup gets a say in restarting the new government.

He’s giving a big FU to all his voters, many of whom continue to blindly support him. Debt is growing at its fastest pace ever and America is not being but first. Meanwhile, everything keeps getting more expensive.
