Montana
Texas

Love it. Say April 24th so that May 1st sounds like a compromise.

States that I think could return slowly since they need to be careful:
California, Washington

Better wall off the states that aren't opening. There will be migration.
A tall wall so planes can't get over it.

South Carolina and North Carolina can and should be open. These two states are not so badly off.

Can we for once in my life be first in something good?

Texas will be in full swing by May 4th. I was informed today to return to work on the 4th on a normal schedule

Sanitation workers are perhaps among the most important people in our lives.
We take for granted that one day a week someone will come and take our horrid waste away from the street.
If Hollywood goes on strike, not one freak is given...if the garbageman isn't there two Mondays in a row, we're screwed.
This past Christmas, the wife and I baked a lot of cookies and Party Mix to give away and the Sanitation guys were SHOCKED when I loaded them up with goodies.

Sanitation workers will be replaced by robots and automated driving vehicles.

California won't open until 2049.
To be fair, it's hard to say California has been "open" for anyone except illegals and homeless in decades.

Seems pretty easy if a governor doesn't want to proceed as business as usual, cut off all interstate traffic to the State. If they believe they have a health concern, help them along... lock the whole State up on its borders... no more freight, no planes, no ships by sea, etc.
I think they might change their mind fairly quickly that its not a health concern.

This thing is OVER
Trump knows it. The Dems know it. The press knows it. The governors know it. And the people are realizing it.
Let’s see how hard the left tries to keep the economy shut down.
In the last ~24 hours, 21,049 Americans were diagnosed with COVID-19. In the last ~24 hours, 6,132 Americans died from COVID-19.
That's double the number of Americans who died in 9/11. Dying every day.
Today, there are 534,697 active cases in the US. These are real people. This is the highest number in the world, by far.
I know this is a great opportunity for you to dunk on dems, and I know you want to get back to your shitty depressing desk job selling insurance, but real people are getting sick and dying.
You have no respect for what's happening and you're an a-hole.
This is far from over.

Yet, what they are doing will have no real measurable bearing on the numbers. Which is why Sweden's numbers are less than the U.S. on all real measurable basis.... and they really haven't done much other than ask people to keep their distance. They did cancel some big events at the beginning but all of their businesses have basically remained open.

Of course, we have to make the flu+/- a pandemic for some other purpose.
I say just closed the border completely to the States that believe they have an ongoing health concern over a communicable disease.... 4, 3, 2, 1.... we're cured.
