if there is an argument to be made, it's about the choice of law, which would be an easy argument for a lawyer to make once he read the case. either tex isn't a lawyer or went to like TX southern and doesn't understand choice of law

It’s this. I don’t know where the rumor got started. But he has never actually said “yes. I’m a lawyer”. It’s really a strange thing to want to pretend to be. We know lots of lawyers. I try to stay away from them whenever possible!

Are you implying the judge’s factual findings were incorrect?
Either that or he just decided the outcome he wanted and worked backward.

He said they didn't establish how Trump “knew or did not know about the 2011 threat in the first place.”

But Trump's tweet refers to the composite sketch of the person who allegedly threatened her and says "a sketch years later."

I don't know how that doesn't establish that Trump knew about the threat.

He should take the money and donate it to the NRA.
He can then go on Twitter and thank all the Libs who helped fund Stormy and thank them for their kind donation.

i mean, it's pretty clearly the right ruling. anti-slapp laws are pretty simple

quote:

“The court agrees with Mr. Trump’s argument because the tweet in question constitutes ‘rhetorical hyperbole’ normally associated with politics and public discourse in the U.S.,” Otero said earlier this month, noting that the First Amendment protected such language.

"Rhetorical hyperbole" as an "exaggeration and/or overbroad generalizations used to achieve an effect in speech or writing."

I don't see how "a total con job" is rhetorical hyperbole.
