Venezuela and Iran. 2 of the 3 largest suppliers of oil to China. Come on man, even you can connect those dots.

Fair.

I should have said you may get consistency ON SOME ISSUES.

And there's really no way to predict which issues those will be.

It’s not a war. And it is to cripple China economically and limit its access to oil. You clearly are just looking for a “gotcha” and don’t really understand much about it. Par for the course.

Trump either lost to the deep state, acquiesced to it, or was always part of it. There is no way to square MAGA with regime change and nation building in Iran. No matter what mental gymnastics you’re doing. Literally every president of my lifetime has promised some variation of ending wars or no new wars, only to escalate. Those who benefit from war will always be the most powerful people in our country, no matter who the president is.

Really?

Do me a favor and make a list of MAGA core principles. Six or seven will do.

If that is the gotcha you need, fine. Congrats? Hurting China by eliminating a murderous tyrant is just two birds with one stone.

Now what are your thoughts on weakening China?

Not worth a freaking proxy war in Iran.

Is devaluing the dollar even more and increasing our debt even more worth knocking China down a peg?

TRUMP is anti-Iran more than pro-Israel....

The man wants peace and stop the killings.

I’m all about Making America Great Again, but unfortunately, our President, and Republican House, and Senate are not. I’m not even going to include Democrats, because they are all Anti American.

1 - Release EVERYTHING in the Epstein Files. Nothing Redacted. I don’t care who it burns (Presidents, Supreme Court Justices, Congressmen, Senators, whoever. Burn them all if they had any inappropriate relationships with minors.

2 - Defend the USA. Stop Defending Israel & their interests. Let them defend themselves.

3 - Actually Defend our Borders. Stop ALL Illegal Immigration.

4 - Take a Blow Torch to all corrupt spending by US Government.

5 - Make it mandatory for EVERYONE to show a valid, up to date, Federal ID to vote. Only US Citizens can vote and American citizenship must be proven.

6 - Stop the American government from providing any, and all, benefits to non citizens.

7 - Constitutional Law is the prevailing law of this country. If it doesn’t pass constitutional law it cannot be passed.

8 - Prosecute to the fullest extent any government worker, any politician, any judge, major, governor, etc who takes any bribe, any benefit, or any donations from anyone who is not a US Citizen or any corporation that is not headquartered in the USA.

9 - Term limits on all government elected officials.

10 - Prosecute any US based newspaper, and any US based TV network from broadcasting, or publishing false information. Prosecute to the fullest any US based media person who is involved with the CIA, or publishes or broadcasts information given to them by the CIA.

That’s my start. There’s a lot more. But it’s a start.

Not unless you make it that way. Thirst & Greed.

Taking it, burning it, and fighting to have the most is the problem. America first will not sustain itself in a Global Market that we are in.

None of those are core principles.

All of them are policy prescriptions. And #7 directly contradicts #10.

And that is my point.

There is no such thing as a unified MAGA foundation from which Trump has supposedly deviated.

It’s always been a completely non-thought out hodgepodge of whims.

That’s not something that it’s possible to “betray.“

And….. I specifically said that they were mine.

I voted for Trump in all 3 Elections, but he’s not anything close to being America First. He talks a good game, but like all politicians it’s all talk and no action.

Trump serves Israel. First and foremost. He was “selected” President this term, because he could give Israel, and the globalists what they really want faster, and better than Any Dem candidate, and especially better than Kamila.

No one in the MAGA movement wants to be told this, but Trump is betraying them. Hes delivering on a silver platter exactly what Israel and the Globalists want, which is everything against what is best for the American citizens.

I didn't have high hopes for your intelligence after reading your first post, but this is where I get off. There's no point trying to have a rational discussion with that.

I used to say the same thing. I'm not so sure, anymore. With both democrats and republicans we get war, insane spending, inflation, high oil prices, China seems to dictate our economy, immigration is a mess at every level, the courts are a chaotic disaster and the federal government grows and spreads. Has that really changed with Trump?

Your points are valid and well received, and i appreciate the discourse.

What is can personally attest, is that things in the BBB like no-tax-on-overtime benefitted me immensely. My take-home wages soared. That was Trump, and a little help from this almost-worthless GOPe-controlled Congress.

And the DEI stuff, especially in the military, I'm ecstatic to see a vehement push-back against it. That has incredibly far reaching implications. Enlistment dramatically increased almost immediately after Trump was reelected.

We'll agree all day long about spending problems though, I guarantee that. But also in fairness, Trump had Musk and Co. putting DOGE to work on cuts, and the aforementioned almost worthless GOPe-controlled Congress failed to pass the majority of it in legislation. This same Congress is still leaving positions appointed by Trump vacant... for over a year.

Trump is swampy in his own ways but I really do believe that overall he means well. The dude just doesn't get any help, and is fighting "his own party" tooth and nail at every turn, because they understand that he's completely out of the picture in three years and they intend to return to business-as-usual.

And we do get massive wartime spending with both Republicans and Democrats, no doubt. But at least Trump approaches these operations with a "scorched-earth" fire and brimstone type of ferocity. He put the whole world on notice with the capture of Maduro and now the razing of the Iran regime, and told the globe that we're no longer the pussies we were when Obama and Biden were in charge. And he has done it without waging boots-on-ground wars with significant casualties. I've said a million times that I don't like a lot of what Trump has done, but (outside of some seriously bone-headed unforced social media errors) he has proven to be forward-thinking and competent. Credit where due.
