But let’s not pretend like Trump is for the working class. He’s a billionaire that looks down on most Americans or sees them simply as votes.

I’m honestly curious what makes you think this, genuinely and not in a snarky way. He built a coalition unlike anything f the republicans have ever seen composed largely of lower and middle class people of all races and backgrounds.

His rhetoric and actions mostly seem to have to the intended effect of helping and supporting the long forgotten people of our country by coastal elites.

He is very obviously a people person and does things like the McDonald pr stunt where he interacts with people in a way that can’t be faked, as well and picking up a marines hat that blew off while walking to marine 1. These generally aren’t the actions of someone who believes what you say.

I’m not saying you’re definitely wrong and he doesn’t hold them, I just don’t see any outward proof for it by his actions, rhetoric, voter base, or interactions with people.

I’m 36 so yes, technically a millennial. You finally nailed one of your famed guessing games! Congrats on batting .050.

Insofar as entitled people go, there has never been a more entitled generation on earth than boomers speaking generally. My parents are boomers and great people, but most are selfish pricks who made their wealth in a totally different time when it was much easier and now are hell bent on holding onto it as much as possible until the literal grave, no matter the consequences to their children or grandchildren or those who come after us.

Not only is it totally disrespectful to those who forged what we were handed to protect, but it’s disgusting they’re mostly on scale willing to sell out their own children and nation.

Again knowing you’re a boomer makes your entire transformation finally come fully into light as a result that makes sense

Ontarian's are going to get a hint someday. Stop electing the idiot Ford's into Office. This should also be a shot across the bow of the anti-nuclear power crowd in the US.
Wonder how much Ontario is paying for all that Fox News advertising, promoting their trade relationship with us? Seems like they would have saved a buttload of money and just played ball with OMB. It's about to get real for them

I don't want to get in trouble for embedding a NSFW youtube video, so just youtube Christopher Walken True Romance Monologue with Dennis Hopper.

It will explain everything.

That's what they get for shitty economic activity like tariffs

This.

Tariffs and other protectionist, anti-free market mechanisms are likely a big reason for their lagging economies in the first place.

What is more important

Security or Opportunity.

Thanks

Neither. Americans have a god given right to freedom and the ability to achieve prosperity. Anyone who is willing to sacrifice freedom for security deserves neither, and anyone who is willing to sacrifice what they see as more opportunities to grow their wealth when they’ll be dead in a decade further ruining their own descendants in the process, deserves none of the above

The correct answer is opportunity.

All day and every day. The difference between collective/independent or left/right usually falls on this line.

The US was built on opportunity, not protectionism.

What proof do you have that it was "much easier" to accumulate wealth during the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, etc?

A graph of the stock market for the last 100 years doesn't show that at all. In fact, the stock market went down from the mid-60s to the lowest point since the oldest boomers were born in 1980, while home prices were going up. The average home sale price in 1980 was about $48,000. By 1989 it had gone up to $151,000. That's a heck of an increase in a short period of time, AND the interest rate in the early 80s got up as high as 18%. Try making mortgage payments on that kind of interest rate. This inflation we're having now is the worst we've had since...the 1970s. Only then it was worse because the economy also wasn't growing...it wasn't just inflation, it was stagflation.

Like most millennials and Gen Zers, you've bought into the media hype. You've got some challenges, but with the lone outlier decade of the 90s, nothing worse than Americans have seen before.

And no, I'm not a boomer.

The stock market doesn’t indicate nearly anything at all relevant to how easy it was to buy a home for boomers compared to now, the culture they were allowed to have being largely homogeneous before ultimately choosing to largely sell us out and vote for multiculturalism (boomers voted the most for Harris), the relative value of a college degree was astronomically higher in say the 60s or 70s than they are today. There is a lot more and I could go on but I don’t need to.

Boomers on the large scale, again not all of them, are entitled losers who lived the most charmed lives in the entirety of human history

This. Hell Trump has accomplished many items of his agenda that 80% agree with like banning man in womens sports and deporting criminals
