Farmers I know that have large tracts all run family land.. grandpas and farther back.. but non off them really care because they have wells on them also… gotta trade in that combine for a newer one with ac .. wireless sound and video.. heck get the mini fridge one also… .
How many people are buying farms for business ( not hobby) and floating loans
I also know a lot of coworkers with hobby farms but they just use it to write off trucks.. new “work sheds”.. ponds for “ irrigation”

I have a hunch a lot of the money going to farmers is not in the farm to table food chain. $40-50 billion of US taxpayer dollars is paying for CRP and ethanol subsidies.
