In favor of what, specifically?

Then how do you explain the success of Asian immigrants in this country?
Which Asian people? The Japanese and the Indians effectively live on different planets.

There's a lot of people very high on this guy. Many don't agree with his H1B policy but they say he's one of the brightest, and America needs to get back to bringing in the most talented in their fields.

Japanese and Indian immigrants have both done very well in this country
But I guess we shouldn't want any more of them because MAGA or some dumb shite

But we should all take a collective shite on the guy even though he isn't going to be working in immigration
Because MAGA!

Collectively, sure.
Some of us on the right are still individuals and hold on to traditional economic views.
The divide is collectivism vs individualism. I am not trying to save society, its not savable. I take care of myself and my family.

I'm guessing he won't ha e any "recommendations" that will include bringing in any more h1b1 Indians, cause we aren't to believe what he says we should do.
If we want Indians doing the tech jobs they can do them in India. There are companies that did this even before COVID via video calls, and it still done.
We need to focus on bringing our own up to top quality. I'm sure it's possible.

Of course they have as they've been imported for cheap labor that has hurt Whites. It's no different than the argument people have about bringing in lower end immigrants to take lower paying jobs.

What we should be wanting is to improve our own people instead cutting them off at the knees by importing cheap h1b1s. I'm sure the offspring of the people who invited it all can do it.

No issue with him being the best, but would a White guy be hired if he had posts saying hiring White men is the best for the future of tech jobs?
And we have plenty of you g students here to make the talented in their fields instead of having to abuse the h1b1 process as a path to citizenship that then brings the whole family over.
Just like Latinos, Asian/Indians are going to be on the same page as people that are concerned in this thread.

Good luck with that. We don't have time to wait for our own people to get their shite together.

We need to supplement our own with the best and brightest from allied nations. Germany, Norway, India, South Korea, the UK and the list goes on.
Of course we need to encourage our own people to get into STEM but if we have a work force shortage we can fill with high functioning immigrants we would be stupid not to do that.

If he (or Indians in general) are so bright and talented then why isn't China going after them?
How do we know he is brighter than an American?

This disdain for our own people I will not understand. Yes we do. Focus on it, and keep people overseas doing the work. It's not like needing immigrants to cut lawns and clean houses. If you think Indians are so much better than our own, than build it over there and we can work via video calls. Not a new concept and done plenty.

Japan is having a population issue, they should import them if they are so great.

Did they hire a plethora of Indians?

The workforce shortage is done because we are bringing in people to hold our own down.
We shouldn't be importing so many people via h1b1s to create New New Delhi s taking over our cities. That shows how it's being abused.

We're not. And we're not bringing in enough of them.

The Data Engineering and IT departments at my last job were both 100% Indian. I'm talking teams of 12+ in each department. Come on. Really? Not one American could do that job? The thing is they were used and abused, worked ridiculous hours and seemed to always be there. I would come in on Saturdays and they'd be working.
These teams were 100% Indian because the company knew they could pay them peanuts and work them to death since they were not W2 employees.

So is it your contention that native born data engineers and IT people can't find work?
