I've said on more than one occasion that Trump is expendable. I can promise you this, whoever is president in 2024 is likely going to be president during one of the most trying periods of the past 80 years....almost a no win situation, that's why Trump is a good choice for 2024 because he's one and done anyways.

Trump has no military prowess. One of the biggest mistakes of his first administration was his total neglect of the military. He was notoriously dismissive except to show up at rallies for the press.

Speaking for myself, I voted for McCain because I would have voted for my neighbor's dog over Obama. That said, Good Lord, time has made that call unpalatable even knowing how much I dislike Obama to this day. But at least I never actually liked that McCain mother fricker.
Romney is the one who really just is off the rails to me. I also voted him over Obama because, well, Obama.
I knew he was soft and I knew he wasn't really conservative, but in his case, unlike McCain, at that point, I didn't really perceive him as the complete fraud that he turned out to be. I just thought, "meh, he's the most conservative of the 2".
Looking back though. Holy shite, our choices were Obama, McCain and Romney!!! Next to that shite show, Trump is goddamned Jesus incarnate! LOL

Well, I get pragmatism in voting.
Sometimes, you have to vote for dog shite because the other guy is cow shite. And, personally, when I vote, I'm as interested in slowing down leftism as much as possible so, voting 3rd party ain't my thing. I suppose it would make me feel better, but, in the end, it it helps an Obama, then, I ain't doin it.
Regardless though. McCain turning into the POS he ended up being really didn't surprise me. Romney though? Even tough I considered him meh politically, I honestly thought, "generally good guy who lacks spine".......Yeah. I was only correct about the spine part.
