don't apologize for holding him to his promises

I voted to drain the swamp based on his own promise a FREAKING decade ago

Drain the piece of shite or shut up

Yeah, he could have made himself a king or dictator like the left portray him as and it could have been done in his first term.

We are up against years of entrenched DC power brokers as DDE and JFK spoke about BEFORE most of us were born.

But yeah, I get your angle. Screw congress. Screw the courts and just implement tyranny.

That's what we will see if the D's take back power. Sleepy's illegitimate 4 years showed us what to expect if Newscum or some other Democrat Socialist, which is in reality neo-fascism, takes over.

Good luck out there.

Do you think AIPAC or “Israel” or whatever are the only lobbies that invest serious resources to influence our government for one reason or another? No, pal, there are many and this practice has been going on for quite some time now. As I’m sure it has in governments throughout the world. In the case of Israel, yeah, they’re doing whatever they have to do in order to “survive” in a pretty rough neighborhood.

I ain’t defending it nor opposing it, it just is what it is. How the concept is so mind blowing is itself actually mind blowing. Some of you folks need to grow up and stop waking up everyday trying to figure out how to make yourself as outraged as humanly possible.

Where does the outrage arise? Could it possibly be that such a “realpolitik” argument about accepting K-Street lobbying and foreign influence runs diametrically opposed to Trump’s grand promise to “drain the swamp.”

Yeah yeah, “You love the swamp”……always the popular default response. Congrats.

Picking out one thing amongst many of the same exact nature for obvious ulterior motives is the problem to which I’m referring. That scenario causes the “concern” being expressed to be disingenuous, and it should be easily noticeable.

So you think the outrage isn’t about lobbying itself, but rather that some lobbies are being too effective? This completely sidesteps my point that many MAGA supporters are growing disillusioned with Trump because his record does not match his rhetoric.

The real issue here is how foreign influence — and lobbying in general — completely contradicts Trump’s promise to “drain the swamp.” Many MAGA supporters were drawn to Trump precisely because he promised to rid Washington of the same corrupt insiders who’ve been crafting the same failed policies decade after decade.

These MAGA supporters didn’t rally behind Trump to see him replace one group of swamp critters with another set of swamp critters, but that’s exactly what they are witnessing. It’s a betrayal of everything Trump promised:

he is definitely making people pay. He has got to have personally made 100s of billions since hes become president.

And hes still selling shitty watches on Fox News. Seriously if that was any other president this board would flip tf out.

I think he is banking hard this term, but i think he got rocked pretty hard the last 6 years with lawfare. Probably why he is selling out so hard now to recoup the family war chest. "Trump fought the swamp and the swamp won, Trump fought the swamp and the.. swamp won."
