True, but less than 2% of American golfers are scratch golfers. I looked for, but couldn't find any stats on players over 75...but I would be shocked if ANY player older than 75...other than Trump...claims to be a scratch player.
The average handicap for men in their 70s (not to mention 79 with the hardest job in the world) is 20 - 23.

None of this matters. Trump is a great president. Part of that is his showmanship. Some like the exaggeration. Others, like me, find it annoying. Not a big deal.

Some of us believe a man is only as good as his word. If a man is willing to lie about something as unimportant as his golf game why would anyone trust him on more serious matters?

At Trumps age, he’s probably the best golfer there is. There isn’t too many as good as he is.

It was best ball to break 50 but he plays every shot and pretty sure the video shows most of them.

I’m a 15. I have a club championship (net). Is he talking senior club championship? Super senior? or open division? Gross? Net? He owns a lot of golf courses. It isn’t too much of a stretch to think over the years he has amassed championships.
Not sure why it’s a big deal either way.

No doubt, Trump's an amazing golfer for his age and responsibilities. It's just ludicrous to say he's a scratch golfer.

Re: Kim. I loved reading the annual invitation to the North Korean tournament each year until it was cancelled. They gave instructions to travel from the US to China and then bus south to the tournament.
They listed the previous year's winners. It was usually a guy from France or the UK but one year it was a guy from Mongolia. Only one NK entry was allowed and it was the winner of their military's tournament. All countries are invited except South Korea. And all golfers were escourted by a beautiful young NK caddy who spoke your language. The UK winner asked permissiion to take her back for marriage. They said 'OK.' Luckiest girl in the world.
