Trump gets down to business: says media lied about crowd "Looked like 1 1/2 mil"

quote:
President Trump used his first full day in office to wage war on the media, accusing news organizations of lying about the size of his inauguration crowd as Saturday’s huge protests served notice that a vocal and resolute opposition would be a hallmark of his presidency.?
With Americans taking to the streets in red and blue states alike to emphatically decry a president they consider reprehensible and, even, illegitimate, Trump visited the Central Intelligence Agency for a stream-of-consciousness airing of grievances — including against journalists, whom he called “the most dishonest human beings on Earth.”?
Shortly thereafter, press secretary Sean Spicer addressed the media for the first time from the White House, where he yelled at the assembled press corps and charged it with “sowing division” with “deliberately false reporting” of Trump’s inauguration crowd.
We love thin skin, don't we folks?
And here's the best part:
quote:
Trump claimed that the crowd for his swearing-in stretched down the Mall to the Washington Monument. It did not. Trump accused television networks of showing “an empty field” and reporting that he drew just 250,000 people to witness Friday’s ceremony.?
“It looked like a million, a million and a half people,” Trump said. “It’s a lie. We caught [the media]. We caught them in a beauty.”
He lies while accusing other people of lying. And if you honestly think about this whole topic of "inauguration crowd size" and the fact that THIS is what he's focusing on his first 100 days, you will realize just how fricked up it is.

Why do you keep linking the Washington post here?
You know they are one of the largest purveyors of fake news.
I mean do you seriously read that tabloid?

Just like the introduction of the forward pass to football. No doubt it was chastised by the media as being a gimmick to the game thus lessening the integrity of the game at that time.
So how did that work out eventually? Trump is your forward pass of politics. Better get use to some adaptations of politics my friend.

Sean Spicer was caught in three lies. Magnetometers, the white tarp covering the mall, and Metro ridership. What a clown show this afministration is proving to be.

Clearly the crowd size was much smaller than President Obama's inauguration. The White House stretching the number is a bit low rent but harmless.
Even if the crowd was one third of President Obama's (which it seems to have been) that's still an insane amount of people.

A.) were there 1 - 1.5 million people there or not? Because several sources have put the crowd well below that.
B.) who ficking gives a shite about inauguration crowd size? Seriously. Its completely irrelevant, especially to the leader of the free world (or at least it should be).

The fact that Trump feels the need to continue lie about innocuous crap is disturbing. And during his administration if they obviously consistently lie about the mundane and meaningless what does that portend for the significant announcements? If people can't understand how this quickly and fundamentally will erode faith in his administration they will soon.
He was elected for three main reasons jobs, jobs, and jobs. His pointless juneville bickering with the media over inconsequential matters will alienate many of his former supporters (at least the rational ones).
That's not a melt, that's the truth.
