Trump flying into Eglin AFB to visit Hurrican Michael victims

Just saw a tweet on it. I work on Eglin and hadn't seen anything on it from the base. I'm curious if we'll be on lockdown while he's here. I have a friend who was at MacDill when Trump visited last year, and he said they weren't even allowed to go near a window while he was still on base. I drive by the runway on the way out of work, would be cool to see Air Force One sort of up close.

For all Presidents when to do this sucks. People are still digging through rubble for bodies. If he doesn't go the media will say, as they have already..."Trump goes to a rally while hurricane hits Fla."
If he does go, Trump disrupts all operations by doing a photo op.
I am not jazzed by Dubya at all but he got a bad rap on this. It is foolishness...

99.999 percent chance that the answer is yes

I forwarded this thread to the SS to let them know you were on base and you have full blown TDS.

That's a turn and burn for sure if he is really coming. Panama City is an hour and a half drive from here.

I guess they are planning on surprising us then because absolutely no one is talking about it in the office

Someone made a good point just now, he'll fly a helicopter to wherever he's going from here.
And just got the email:
And just got the email:

All,
Don’t plan to leave in the near future, there is a security traffic hold on Eglin right now.

Posted on 10/15/18 at 10:46 am to sicboy

You should run out and try to get close enough to give Trump a hug

Lots of people pissed here because they had lunch plans they're not going to make now

If that's the case, I was wondering why they couldn't find a place closer to land, but Eglin is probably the only option in proximity to have a secure arrival and takeoff.

Just arrived in Florida. Also thinking about our GREAT Alabama farmers and our many friends in North and South Carolina today. We are with you!
