This......they came in with a weak argument that was shot down....they aren't shutting the door on the citizenship question.

Bull fricking shite a weak argument to adding s citizenship question to the census is this a fricking a joke?

This was deliberate and Roberts purposefully voted via public option to punt this to when I can next take effect 10 yrs down the road. By that time it’ll be way to late. Hell you already have most main stream pundits clamoring it’s still 11 million illegals. Something quoted by Obama’s admin 8 yrs ago...

Then they’re here illegally and have to go home.

See how that works?

I also see how those in Texas cities would have to deal with underfunded roads and other infrastructure because of politics... but hey hating "illegals" is more important I guess.

Dc09, not that you care, but wide majority of Americans support asking the question on the census

A majority of Hispanics do, as well as blacks

The fact that you are calling it “malevolent” is a tad dramatic

The census is meant to gather info on the population

Finding out what’s percent are citizens is relevant

So a pennywise/dollar foolish viewpoint. What a surprise.

Oh and last time I was there, the roads in Texas were just fine. Better than here, in fact.

Several of them are.

They should all be strict constitutionalists. Even if 100% of the public wants something interpreted one way, if the constitution says the other then that’s the way they should rule. Then let the constitution be amended by the established procedures.

“Controversial question” Y’all. We live in a time where asking if someone is a citizen is controversial

Trump stated his true reason for wanting the citizenship question in the rose garden last week. He said its for politics, so there's no point in saying what you think, we know what Trump thinks because he said it.

And there wasn't a citizenship question on the 2010 census. Do you see that you just made my point for me?

You do realize that most people in the US illegally were at one point here legally right? If someone is concerned their visa is about to expire, they may shy away from responding.

It is amazing people believe stuff like this with all the evidence we have. We have people all the way from Africa and the Middle East crossing the southern border and you want me to believe this?

And yet even with a conservative majority at SCOTUS, this admin couldn't even come up with a pretense flimsy enough to pass their smell test.

Why shouldn't they be counted and encouraged to participate in the census?

Your very next statement will be “Why shouldn’t they be allowed and encouraged to vote. They are paying taxes thus they should have the right to vote.”

That is the ultimate goal of Democrats, millions of new voters.

Please explain to me how it is fair that a state like ca should get more house seats because illegals flood its borders?
