No, your ignorance of history and your pride is what's retarded.

USSR ceased to be long ago, China wasnt a communist nation until 1949.

And the stated goals were in 1963. See how ignorant you keep looking?

He "Pushed" for helping the USSR because they were on our side in WWII.

Which other communist nations did he "support?"

The question once more Roger:

Why did China and the USSR want free trade with the USA? Why was it a stated goal for the transformation of America and the west?

You can do it! Come on...

Free trade with communist nations is free trade with communist nations. That's where we started the march.

Now deal with the actual question:

Why did China and the USSR want free trade with the USA as a means to change the USA?

You are lying out of ignorance again and Road sees that. I stated 2 things:

1- What FDR was for and YOU are for
2- And what the stated goals of China and the USSR was in 1963... And you agree with that.

It's you showing a lack of comprehending what you read in order to have a rational thought.

FDR:

- On November 16, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt ended almost 16 years of American non-recognition of the Soviet Union

- Rejected Hoover's approach to the London Economic Conference where he(Hoover) hoped the United States and other leading industrial nations would devise a currency stabilization program and pledge its support for the international gold standard.

- FDR scuttled the London Economic Conference in the summer of 1933 and devalued the dollar by removing the United States from the international gold standard.

- 1934, FDR won passage of the Reciprocal Trade Agreements Act, which allowed him to grant "most favored nation" trade status to countries.

- In February 1934, Roosevelt established the bank as an institution designed to finance U.S. trade with the newly-recognized Soviet Union. He created a second Export-Import Bank the following month, this one intended to finance trade with Cuba
