in all honesty, the government should completely overhaul the drug schedule. there should be an illegal category for hardcore drugs like fentanyl, heroin, meth. a decriminalized category for cocaine and prescription drugs not prescribed to you (punishment for small possession is a fine). and then everything else, including cannabis, should be legal.
the less government oversight on personal drug use, the better. go hard on trafficking of illegal substances and that’s it.

I can understand why you think that. I used to as well. But then, my son, who has sever depression and anxiety, was prescribed medical marijuana by a physician. Not only did he stabilize and stop having suicidal thoughts, but he was able to come off most of his pharmaceutical meds.
I’m now a believer that God put this plant on the Earth to help us.
