quote:

We’re getting no help from the state of California,” Trump said from the White House. “Frankly, if I wanted to pull our people from California you would have a crime nest like you’ve never seen in California. All I’d have to do is say ‘ICE and border patrol, let California learn.’”

Trump and his administration have stepped up enforcement of immigration laws since he took office, so much so that Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, both Democrats, sent a joint letter to the Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan asking for detailed information about how raids are prioritized and asking for communications regarding upcoming raids in the state.

“Diverting resources in an effort to punish California and score political points is an abhorrent abuse of power, not to mention a terrible misuse of scarce resources,” the letter said.

This would be a genius move. Pull ICE from CA. CA becomes magnet for illegals from all over the country...CA crumbles and demands deportation of illegals who all happen to be in the same place. It won't go that way but there are lots of positives about this.

This would be a brilliant political move. California will always be a blue state so it's a no lose situation for Trump.

The threat may make people wake up and vote their shite leaders out.

The quiet ones on the sideline may be pressed into service

Yeah, I thought ICE was evil and they were trying to go out of their way to not cooperate with ICE. Why the sudden change of heart? Wait, does this mean that they actually think ICE is important and they have just been pandering all this time?!?!! For shame.

He should pull all federal help to Cali if they wish to buck national immigration laws that were formed within the constitution.

California is as anti-american as china.

They claim they can survive just fine alone. Let us find out.

Also, by doing so Id expect their proposition of becoming east and western california could be pushed faster.

In a manner of speaking, but he's also punishing the 4,483,810 people who voted for him from California in the last election as well.

Only Texas and Florida had more people who voted for him.

The reality of the situation is that California should be broken up into three or four states so "mob rule" is diminished.

I lived there in 1983, then again in 1992, and went back last year where it was unrecognizable it reminded me of Tijuana in the 1980's.

That state has sunk from 1st class Switzerland into last world Somalia in 30 years.

...

Which part of California did you go to?
I visited my little brother in San Jose last year, and it did not match whatever part you saw.

Why would they consider getting what they want to be punishment?

That's strange. Are they saying they're being dishonest?
