Ellzey was a much better candidate. I'm surprised Wright got 47% of the vote.

Trump style governance is needed. Trump policy is needed. That does not mean he has to be president.

This.

Frankly, I'm concerned about the cult of personality that seems to have formed around Trump. Do so many here like him or his policies?

The Trump vs DeSantis comments here make me think it is more the man and his personality than anything else.

Wright was supported by Cruz and Trump

While he and Perry are close friends, he is nowhere close to a RINO. He is a true conservative, a christian, and is uncompromisingly American first.

Trump's endorsement of his opponent was based on polling as it is with many of the other candidates Trump endorses. Trump will have no problem endorsing Ellzey in the future.

What bad things did Trump say about Ellzey? With 2 republicans running could it be that Trump graded one as 'A' and the other as 'A-'?

I'll now hold my breath while I wait for you to avoid answering the question.

One election? I guess when the Trump candidate wins the next time you will say he is back? Look at the huge lines waiting to see him and then decide if he is finished.

How many Trump candidates have lost? Lots.

Because they aren’t Trump. He is the only one that actually matters to people. These other people are a bunch of grifters and coattail riders. Don Jr. should run in 2024 with Don Sr as his advisor. He’d win in a landslide

Why does Trump even involve himself in these republican vs republican races??

It is a no win situation for him.

Lemme splain it to ya, IB. You probably know that most of us logical conservatives up in here realize that the best way to judge a candidate we're not familiar with is to read the press. If the press hates him then he's a great candidate.
Well, Trump provides that barometer for conservatives. Bill Cassidy is a republican. We in La. know he's a POS. But conservatives across the country never heard of him. But once they hear Trump bash him then they know he's a POS.
Got it?

No the mindset is that if he wins the Dems will spend the entire 4 years trying to impeach again.

How will dems do that when they are in the minority in the House?

If Trump's health remains good, he will run. Trump/DeSantis 2024 and DeSantis for 8 more years is just about enough time to clean up mess the dems have made.
