That's an uncommon occurrence for Trump
If anything, he is honest to a fault. It can sometimes be his biggest flaw.

there is no way you fully understand how tough being President of the US, is. I'm not seeing why his saying it out loud is such a horrible thing.
Yeah, I said pretty much the same thing a few pages back. The job would humble anyone.
Only reason this is "news" is because of the bluster and hubris Trump showed on the campaign trail. It was clear he had no idea what the job entailed, nor how our government actually worked. He thought he could go in and tell people what to do all day, and they'd jump. That hasn't happened, and it hasn't just been Democrats standing in his way. His own staff has shot the administration in the foot so many times I've lost count.

Are you implying that Trump should've known exactly how dysfunctional Congress is? It's impossible that he could've learned a thing or two the past 3 months?

Why are you avoiding answering his question?

oh good lord. liberal or conservative, you've got to admit, the man lives in his own world. Who does this 6 months after the election?
A man who is elected President and yet the media doesn't seem to realize or accept it?
It was a nice subtle way to remind them that Hillary was beaten. maybe you should take a look at the map, too?

He specifically said it would be easy.

Business deals in objective reality. I would guess that it, in fact, is a surprise that mental defectives are in positions of power and act so strongly to defeat laws that protect the citizens and the country. Governors, mayors, activist judges, LEO leaders, etc, acting directly against the laws of the land and the Constitution. Why do I say that? Because I'm surprised at the level of anti American forces in the general population and in positions of power. That said, I think it's good to have them expose themselves. They'll be little more than speed bumps in the end.

I'm not upset because he gave a candid answer. I'm "upset" because he told us repeatedly how easy this would be for him to fix.
If he had never said how easy everything would be, there would be a little less backlash when he said how difficult it is months later.

Irrelevant. Democrats have no majority in house or senate, and don't have the presidency.
Any theories as to why? I have several.

What a weird thing to get upset (or even "upset") about. What the hell does it matter?

So basically, you're saying.."Are we there yet?...Are we there yet?...Waaaah!...Are we there yet?"
Keep melting

Total conjecture.

It's a lesson his predecessor learned as well (see: closing of Gitmo).

Do you know what a rhetorical question is?

Of course being president was going to be fricking hard. What fricking idiot believes they could come into a notoriously corrupt system and boast about the success they would have if they had to chance to work in that system?!

I still don't understand why anybody would want ti. Democrats fight a GOP President every step of the way. GOP fights a Democratic President every step of the way. backstabbing on both sides. Horrible job.

If that's your attitude, what does anything he's ever said matter?

I appreciate his honesty and I'm not sure he's ever been quite so humble.
I think (if we're honest with ourselves) most of us have felt that way. I know I thought being a mom would be easier than it is. Sometimes I miss my old life before kids.
This is pretty normal and to me just another example of liberals being petty.

And why does that upset you? Because he didn't understand? Because it really isn't? I'm at a loss. Why does it upset you that he said this?

No there wouldn't!
So you are upset that he said it would be easy and it's not. Are you upset because he mislead you? you believed him and thought it would be easy too? You hitched your hopes and dreams thinking it would be easy, and now your hopes and dreams are dashed?

Trump said that when he was running for POTUS.
WHILE HE WAS POTUS, Obama said that you could keep your doctor and your health insurance premiums would go down by $2,500?
Which is worse?
