I don't feel like bringing you up on the current events that include Jindal's smearing of John White calling his actions corrupt and illegal.

Interesting the defense of Jindal on here.
if this were Obama there would be a 40 page thread about it with all sorts of inane melodrama.

I think its more that people are going against IB Freeman's obsession with Jindal than anything. I would have been just as happy if it was Obama that did it, Painter was a sleaze bag and needed to go

Let's see on the most active political board made up of mostly Louisianians people seem to think that posting about the Governor of Louisiana is obsessive.
The man just creates so much material that should be of interest to those who follows politics. Let's review the last few days
1) first he announced he would be attending a chili cook-off in New Hampshire as Louisiana critics continue to call him a part-time governor with little interest in the affairs of the state and their impact on the citizens--I posted about that
2) then he has this meeting with John White calling their procurement process criminal--this is all part of his reversal of his stance on Common Core. White is simply trying to follow the law Jindal ushered through taking the state to the common core standards--I started a thread on that and that is a huge issue
3) then major Jindal supporter Lane Grigsby and LABI turned on the Governor--this is huge news as that group of business people have been the much of the money behind the guy--I started a thread on that
4) then just yesterday it was reported that the state paid Painter $300,000 after firing him for failing to illegally issue a permit it seems.--certainly a thread should have been started about that
Now if any of the subjects are not relevant to politics in Louisiana please feel free to ignore them. The post after post complaining about me posting about Jindal does nothing but take up space.
Defend Jindal if you want and quit shooting the messenger. OH--there is no defense of Jindal on these issues.
While I am at it let me once again point out that Jindal left me. I didn't leave Jindal.
You see Jindal gave me the impression he was a conservative, small government guy. He is not. He told me he was for good government and ethics and the end of good ole boy politics. He is not. He didn't tell me he would spend his every waking hour running for some other office and building a "non profit", American Next to make him a fortune post government.
I spent several thousand dollars helping him beat KBB. I helped host two events in my community he attended. I visited with him in the kitchen of my good friend's house and talked about delivering our area for him. I even voted for him when KBB beat him.
Now I have apologized to my conservative friends for asking them to support him. I chastise my democrat friends for criticizing him reminding them he has embraced all the big government policies KBB started.
Now criticize me if you want but I doubt there are many of you that helped him in 2007 more than I did--perhaps some but not many.

So you were a big contributor to Jindal when he first ran?
And when you asked him for a favor when he got elected, he told you no, right?

But it's not.
I'd tell you: nice attempt at deflection. But I'd be lying.

Nope.
I will put you down as favoring governors abusing the power of the state to force state employees to break the law however.
The previous posted about had this been Obama is exactly spot on.
Weak debaters like you can only attack the messenger.

Again, i dont believe this. Just about every one that has responded in this thread knows Painter to be a sleaze and thinks he got what he deserved

What do you not believe? that he was fired? that Waguespack was pressuring him to issue an illegal permit? that a jury found the state had trumped up charges of illegal use of background checks? that the state settled with the guy for right at $300,000? that had they not settled most likely Mr. Jindal and Mr. Waguespack would have been forced to testify in a civil trial? or do you not believe the Jindal administration used taxpayer money to settle the case???
Just curious. Do you have any facts to the contrary anywhere?

If Louis Learner says tomorrow that Obama made her use the IRS against conservative groups I am going to want him impeached. I want him impeached if Learner did it without his approval since he has stood with her so long.
Now on a state government basis I don't want a governor who fires people because they will not break the law to benefit his buddies.
That appears to be exactly what Jindal did.
In my eyes it should be investigated by the legislature and if it did happen Jindal should be impeached.
He damn sure should be impeached if he decides to force John White out of office under threat of prosecution of the corruption he is now alleging as he tries desperately to get out of CC for his own political benefit.
