re: Transgender people can’t be baptized unless they’ve ‘repented,’ Catholic diocese says

A Catholic diocese in Michigan has instructed its pastors to deny baptism, confirmation and other sacraments to transgender and nonbinary people unless they have “repented”.
"Bold" these days indeed. A line drawn in the sand that abides in God's law standard?? Well done.
But...Ruh-Roh.
Will this trigger a "Hate-Crime" investigation by Michigan's Witchy-gov AG or Brandon's DoJ? (Or will every Pastor at the church merely be arrested and services shut down?)

Good!! To hell with these psychos

Transgenderism is an abomination. The Catholic Church must speak the truth, regardless of the consequences. The salvation of souls takes precedent over a profoundly disordered cultural malaise.

It's the same rules for everyone so no one should be pissed off.

You have to go to confession to repent. Confession goes like this:
17 y.o. Jimmy: 'Forgive me father for I have sinned. I fondled the breasts of a girl who is a member of our church.'
Priest: 'Was it Susie? She's a bit of a tramp. I've been advised about her behavior.'
Jim: 'No, father.'
Priest: 'Was it Julie? She's taking after her mother, a most immoral woman.'
Jim: 'No, father.'
Priest: 'Well, say 5 Lord's Prayers and Act of Contrition and sin now more.'
Jimmy comes out and sees his buddy Frank who asks: 'Did he forgive you?'
Jim: 'Better. He gave me a couple of tips.'

Not a LGBTQRSTUV guy but the Catholic Church really should periodically pipe down on public ethical/moral commentary. Maybe get their own house in order first.
Doesn’t sound like this was something they shouted from the rooftops - communicated internally 6 months ago - and only now getting attention because someone else wants to pipe up about it.

“The experience of incongruence in one’s sexual identity is not sinful if it does not arise from the person’s free will, nor would it stand in the way of Christian Initiation,” reads the document. “However, deliberate, freely chosen and manifest behaviors to redefine one’s sex do constitute such an obstacle.”
Transgendrism is a free will CHOICE.

Good. More churches need to stand up against this crap.

I don't have any sources to support this but I'm sure 90% of tranny's are irreligious.

They also have a history of stuff going down months prior and hoping nobody ever pipes up about it. Meanwhile Priest got his pipe taken care of

LRB1967 Hopefully the Catholic church makes the same determination regarding those who support abortion.
Hopefully, the Catholic Church makes the same determination regarding those who support the death penalty. Hopefully, they also make the same determination regarding those who molest children.

The Catholic Church should fix their pedo problem before they go saying who can and can’t be baptized.
It’s all under the same LGBTP+ flag. Draw a line in the sand and hold it.

quote:well, that's bc you don't know the Bible. You should know the Bible.
Don’t know for sure it’s a sin,
quote:
A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God.
if God is concerned about how sexes dress, then I certainly assure you he is concerned about one sex pretending to be the other sex. let me also remind you that God Almighty expects people to know these things without Him having to tell people. It should be obvious.

This entire “transgender” debate is a dividing line for both our culture and nation. Are we going to align with hysteria and barbaric witch-doctory or with reason and science?
Progressivism is a cult of ritualistic death and destruction — indeed many of the core tenets of progressivism are increasingly rooted in child sacrifice. There really is no other way to describe it.
Is that picture highlighting the following?
29 You shall not delay to offer from the fullness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to me. 30 You shall do the same with your oxen and with your sheep: seven days it shall be with its mother; on the eighth day you shall give it to me."
- Exodus 22:29-30
No wonder Abraham wasn't shocked and wondered if a foreign god was asking him to sacrifice his son, that was common in early Hebrew culture...

Flip the script. If first they had transgender priests and were encouraging/supporting their parishioners being transgender...and then abuse and sex scandal came to light. Would you then say they couldn't do anything about it until they dealt with the transgender issue? Of course not.

In Catholicism, repentance has 4-requirements:
1. Is responsibility and recognizing what has been done wrong.
2. Is regret and having true remorse for doing wrong, and causing others pain.
3. Is resolve and being committed to never repeating the act again regardless of the temptations and/or situations.
4. Is to repair the damage done to all parties affected by the act.
So basically, they have to un-transgender themselves back to normal.

Not that anyone cares, but this is what was said.
Sorry fellas. But co-habitating and fricking your boyfriend or girlfriend, gay or straight, is a mortal sin.
The candidate for Baptism would need to express sorrow and try not to sin again. As Jesus said “go and sin no more”.
