My boss who is a branch chief has the same size cubicle as I do when I reserve a cubicle. He WFH as well as I do. My deputy division chief has the same size cube too. The Division Chief has a slightly bigger cube than all of us but has higher walls than we do...no door. We'd have more cubicles where I'm at but they recently took a whole floor and converted it to a data center/server farm.

and just like that, you think that 99% of the gubmit workers are merit-based employees who are working their butts off from home

Should be easy to go through their activity and evaluations and fire the bottom 10-25%. We obviously don’t need government employees who don’t come into an office.
