...that in order to make the venue a safe space for celebrity Anti- Second Amendment zealotry , it requires over 500 armed law enforcement officers and probably dozens more armed security guards.

Movies are uninteresting tripe now, and when Kimmel is the funniest guy at an event you can't really count on humor. As a conservative, watching the Oscars would be like Rex watching CPAC. If it were slanted but still entertaining, like snl or Maher for example, people would watch it.
Im not going to waste my night watching a bunch of millionaire whites trash the country, then hand the Oscar over to whoever made this year's slave movie.
