You New Orleans folks remember when the CCC was paid off, many times over, and was state law to remove the tolls after it was paid off, it was years afterwards and they still fought tooth and nail to keep the tolls on as they supported the freaking ferry (which I don’t think was even the damn original purpose of the toll).

No thanks on the tolls. There’s a history here that it is extremely hard to remove them after they are in.

And the CCC is still a pile of dog shite with dead lanes and bad lane routing and seems to be impossible for people to cross without causing some kind of bs that fouls up traffic for hours on end. Every. fricking. Day.
