Common sense: We should make schools more secure with a single point of entry during the school day where every entrant was funneled through a secure checkpoint.

Woke twitter: so there's only 1 exit!?!?! that's a choke point! What about when there's a fire!? A gunman could just wait at the entrance and pick off everybody.

I think Twatter should have check marks that indicate a person's age and sex.

I can't imagine real adults being so damn stupid to not to realize there are multiple emergency exits. Not just one fricking entrance/exit to the school building.

What are you confused about?

He labeled the sports fields as being a part of the school. A gunman can walk up to a field and kill students while they are at school.

I assume he's labeling areas where people congregate.

He does have a point in that, especially with large schools, a single entry point is not feasible.

The biggest problem with doors like that is they typically fail to weld the exposed hinge pins, leaving them pretty easily removed with an simple to make or obtain tool. And they seldom use security hinges with a locking pin that requires the door to be open a certain amount to disengage.

Done right, these doors are fantastic at preventing ingress.

-yup I did locksmithing and physical security for DoD.

Electronic hardware makes it so that doors can unlock during a fire.
