How long has it been relatively accessible to fly from any part of the world and travel up through our southern border and then gain entry without a legitimate claim to asylum?
How much of that period has been defined by the institutions of the country telling migrants they don't need to assimilate - and actually - it's morally wrong to ask them to do so?
