So, I was talking to UAW at the gym today and he asked if I read an article in the Shreveport Times. I said "I cancelled long ago."

Him: "Well, I called to cancel last month when they raised the price from 30 a month to 40. They said they would reduce the rate to 20 for me, so I kept it."

My local paper has been throwing the Sunday paper to my whole neighborhood for free for at least the last 6 months. Just more garbage I have to pick up and throw in the trash can.

I can see print papers becoming extinct in 5 years.
Or they might be one of those free papers I can pick up at the gym.

You know, if there was a paper that actually printed what the average news consumer wanted to read, instead of what they thought should be read, they might be turning a profit.

Just a suggestion. I mean, providing consumers with a product they want has worked in other industries. But I don't know anything about journalism.

Printing what the consumer wants instead of the party line that is to be forced on them? That’s fricking crazy talk!
