You failed to specify that. People here don't need to be prophylaxed for river blindness either.

One is much more frequent than the other.

Can't it? Technically it can survive for 7 days on objects if the object itself has had infective secretions, i.e. blood.

There is one area of the USA that has seen a reduction in autism rates for the first time ever. Guess what they did? No, it wasn't that they stopped vaccinating.

Did you miss the chiropractor guy who didn't believe in germ theory a few years ago?

I'm not sure I remember a chiropractor, but there was a poster named gaggle who was running down Pasteur to pill people on terrain theory. RFK Jr. himself shits on germ theory in his book, which maybe I shouldn't say, lest I pill the board on that.

Correct. Unprophylactically expressed Riverblindness FAR exceeds any incidence of pediatric Hep B in affected countries.

yes, that's the guy. I knew he had some kind of quasi-medical background, but didn't know the chiropractor part. I effort-poasted with him and he went back and deleted weeks of posts one time, which is the only time I think I may have made a dent in a committed pseudoscience believer here.

I think I may have made up the chiro part, but he was definitely in some healthcare-adjacent field. I didn't know he deleted posts though.

yeah, come to think of it I think he said he was a radiology tech. He posted on both boards, but it was on the OT during a brief period I was posting over there. I think it's more stigmatized belief system over there than here and he showed his arse.

If the vaccines work then why do people care if everyone is vaxxed?

Because some people are immunocompromised and others are too young for a particular jab?

My kids didn't have anymore vaccines than I did as a kid. Minus chicken pox.

But I talk to my kids pediatrician and they dont question me when I say yes or no to certain vaccines and the timing of them.

I've never had any issues in Mississippi. However in Alaska they were suppppperrrr and still are super pushy about the flu and covid vaccines. But then again the Native population up that way is extremely unhealthy and has issues similar to the African American community down here.

However most drs up there are also verrrrryyyyyyy pushy with natives in general and talk/act/treat them like retards (which is extremely annoying when my wife and I are very well researched in health decisions) ..so I guess we can just say the Healthcare system sucks up there

quote:Congrats. You just confused a vaccine with a preventive. Under your definition, vitamin C is a vaccine.

Describe to me how vitamin C produces an antibody response.

My God you really ARE crazy. If you now believe that the definition of a vaccine is “something causing an antibody response”, then the vaccine for Covid is Covid.

Give up.

PS. I’ll add I have two and the first was vaccinated the second wasn’t. The first is sick every month at least once. The second got foot and mouth at daycare and that is the ONLY time he’s been sick. He gets a cold once a year and it goes away in a day or two.

I truly believe we are going to have to relearn some tough lessons our ancestors innovated out of with vaccines. They are a miracle of scientific innovation and we’ve gotten so far time wise from when these things were an issue in everyday life we have forgotten that
