it's cockney, working-class British dialect

Thoughts on Russell Brand?
It used to be a great clothing brand until the late 90s. A lot of teams wore their jerseys, but they couldn't compete with Nike paying teams to wear their gear. The headquarters used to be located near Auburn, but I think the family finally sold the company and now their HQ is in the Midwest somewhere. Maybe they can have another run like Champion did.

He's still progressive on policy issues, but he's an honest debater and pro free speech.

I’ve always thought he was a douche but he’s been a bit more interesting lately. Same for Ricky Gervais. I always thought he was a turd, but then he ripped all of Hollyweird a new a-hole. I see him a little different now.
All in all, both seem like a couple of guys I could have a beer with and an interesting conversation. We may part ways with different ideas, but at least I would feel like I hadn’t been attacked.

He is definitely a classical liberal. He's not anti big government. He wants government programs to help those in need and likes programs that most liberals like. He's simply anti-corruption and has called out both sides pretty evenly over the last 4 or 5 years.

He's a classic, sincere liberal and that cornerstone of sincerity has caused him to split from the liberal-to-progressive movement because he sees that for the batshit craziness it is.
He's the type who can have an open and honest debate on the role of government and if his points are all countered fully and logically, he's willing to reassess his beliefs. For him, there's little "sports fan" mentality when discussing politics.
We need more people like that, on both sides of the aisle.

He needs to get to the point in his videos, I can never get through a whole video.
This. He is trapped between trying to be funny, and loving his own voice, and making a point. All of his videos seem 10 minutes too long.

I was a bit leery of him at first. Then, I started to change my thoughts when I watched this absolute bitch slap of Mika Brzezinski on Morning Joke. She was dismissive of him right from the introduction and he handled them brilliantly. LINK

quote:I'd reverse those numbers, personally. Seems a bit more libertarian - not authoritarian much at all. Maybe you know stuff I don't about him, but I've been watching his videos about half the time for the past year or so. I don't agree with everything, but he doesn't act like we should all agree on everything - just let our ideas (that don't hurt others) co-exist and have free speech. He seems a bit more Buddhist in his approach, which should be fairly compatible with Christian beliefs in practice.
He's an anti-capitalist leftist. He's your 30% friend and 70% enemy.
