I think you need to look at what these traitorous dregs of society are actually after. Hanging is a traditional method of punishment for those proven guilty of treason. Let your mind wander a little. This would be followed by a bill making execution by firing squad cruel and unusual. I think they are trying to use the power they have, while they have it, to back door the maximum punishment for treason to be life in prison.
Do you think these people give a shite about the minorities that support them? Minorities are simply a tool for their power.
