I'm not comparing the two based on what they affected. I can't say that "Obama born in Kenya" affected the national scale other than that it was yet another brain broken conspiracy that enraged right wing lunatics accross the country.
My argument is that there is substantial evidence that the trump campaign and associates possibly colluded with the russian government and there is essentially no evidence that Obama was born in Kenya.
Republicans have been hearing Trump say "the Russia hoax" for so long that I doubt any of them have any idea about what was actually investigated or the results of those investigations. They act as though Roger Stone wasn't convicted of lying about communications with Russians. They act as through Flynn wasn't convicted and even fired by Trump himself for lying about communications with Russians. They act as though his son and campaign manager didn't lie about a meeting with the Russians regarding dirt on Hillary. They act as though Trumps campaign manager, who took the job for free, didn't share internal polling data with the Russians.
We can argue to exactly what extent the Trump campaign colluded with Russians, but the idea that it was a big made up hoax is yet another republican dilusion.

1. Biden has dementia and his administration and their friends in the media are lying about it and covering it up.

3. There is no scientific basis for cloth masks, 6 feet, and lockdowns to stop the spread of COVID... and these policies will do much more harm to America and Americans than a virus with a 98%+ survival rate will.
4. Natural immunity is more effective than the COVID vaccine and the experimental vaccines are more dangerous to children than the virus is.
5. January 6th was a staged fedsurrection, not a "violent insurrection ordered by Trump and perpetrated by his supporters," where they killed several police officers... or even one police officer. Or anyone.
6. Joe Biden is a pervert pedo who showered with his teenage daughter and fondles and sniffs little kids.

I, personally, never believed or disbelieved that Obama was born in Kenya. I really have no idea and I was never very interested in that topic and most are like me in that regard. There was an undercurrent on the right of people pushing that narrative, but it was never mainstream.

This has been my observation long before Trump came down that escalator. Not everything is about Trump. The American left has been full of lying shite bags since long before I was born, but the propaganda has really ramped up in the last 20 years.
If you believe a word that comes out of a Democrat's mouth or their propagandists, then you are a fool. There are rare exceptions, but for the most part these people are habitual liars and they know they will not be called out in the main stream media or entertainment.
It's an ideology that is completely dependent on propaganda and censorship. Left wing narratives and ideas do not stand up to even the slightest scrutiny, which is why they censor/propagandize every source of information they can get their little communist fingers on and ridicule/demean/slander any source of information that doesn't 100% align with their false narratives.
Trump doesn't control the thoughts of all conservatives, that have lived experiences reaching far past the Trump administration. We're not all a bunch of ignorant country bumpkins who's minds are easily controlled by a charismatic politician. We've had progressive propaganda shoved down our throats our entire lives and called bullshite. Something the left is incapable of doing.

Roger Stone was not convicted of lying about communications with Russians. He was convicted of making false statements to Congress, but those statements were about his communications related to WikiLeaks, not Russians or Russian entities.
Flynn was convicted of lying to the FBI about his communications with the Russian Ambassador. The lies involved denying that he had discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia or a United Nations vote on Israel. This was not part of any form of collusion.
Trump Jr met with a Russian lawyer, not any Russian government officials, about getting dirt on Hillary, yes. But no meaningful information on that was exchanged. The conversation quickly turned to talking about adoptions and sanctions. The Mueller Report concluded that it did not rise to the level of collusion.
Paul Manafort’s sharing of internal Trump campaign polling data did not rise to the level of collusion or conspiracy with Russia, as determined by both the Mueller Report and the Senate Intelligence Committee.
The Mueller investigation did not find that the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government. No evidence was found of collusion. The investigation was launched under false pretenses.
If you dig deep enough, you’re going to find many of what some would consider questionable conversations between both parties and governments from all over the world. I wonder what you would find out about democrats if you launched an investigative fishing expedition on the scale of the Mueller investigation?

Proved my point. There were plenty of lies and hidden communications with Russian officials. It needed to be investigated. It wasn't a hoax.
Wikileaks and gucifer 2.0 which was a cover for Russians according to the Mueller report. Not to mention they dropped tons of emails right after the access Hollywood video tape in order to try to help trump.

That's cute. You didn't prove anything wrong. You added details like the fact that trump Jr denied that the meeting was about Russian help even though the emails clearly stated that's what it was about. But you didn't show that I got anything wrong. Youre only argument is that even if the trump campaign had a bunch of secret communications and lied about them and obstructed justice to try to hide them, it doesn't definitively prove "collusion".
