You are correct on the notion that "if everyone does better when we all do better". Unfortunately for the most of us, government takes the lowest class and dumbs down education for easier "success!". The healthcare atrocities you claim hurts the poor, actually hurts the entire country, thanks to the billionaire companies that have infiltrated our government to render them ineffective. How about people be put in position to be a productive member of society instead of subsidizing someone doing nothing.
