I know I don't. But I basically try to act as if I'm already infected to not send it along to someone who is high risk. It's called not being an a-hole.

Hot sports tip: You can do that and think the whole response is ridiculously overblown.

Casting aside the money just the new norms for what the government can do are going to be crushing sooner or later.

The OP is about how different people react to exactly the same increase in risk at totally different levels
i feel like i incorporated this response into my comments. we have an increase in risk. some people are wary of the situation but think the response is extreme. otoh, some people are actively trying to ban the meds that seem to work and are putting entire cities on 24hr lockdown because of fear and hysteria, not facts. but the latter crew has been mischaracterizing people on this board who want a sensible response by saying those people are trying to "compare viruses." that's not an accurate representation of the former group

This is true, and it's not even humans who are created to understand risk. You will rarely see an animal sleep on its' back, for example, because it instinctively understands the need to protect its vital organs.

I know there are some here, myself included, who have a dog that sometimes sleeps on its back. But all that means is that you have created an environment where Rover feels 100% safe and protected.

Another thing I've noticed about all the dogs I've ever owned. We have a walk in closet in the bedroom. Anytime our dogs sleep in that closet he faces the opening. It's because the closet is like a cave. Any danger is gonna come from the opening in the cave.

Interesting that you automatically assigned the 1 to a Female and a 10 to a Male.

Throughout human history this has always been the case. Females are more attractive when they show the traits of avoiding risk protecting their children etc etc.

A Male is most attractive when he shows fearlessness, willing to defend the hearth and defend his family even risking death and not even worrying about it.

Only in the past 50 years have we seen such an extreme feminization among males.

Thus the balance has shifted to where we are today.

You're absolutely right. But I think it goes beyond being attractive to the opposite sex. I was raised around a lot of old women relatives who were way past having sex. They were obsessed with death. They spent their day talking on the phone with each other discussing who was sick and who died. The men didn't do that.
