Not quite right, but close (at least from what I have been able to glean).

He served a supervisor for Franklin County Department of Job & Family Services until 2012 when he went to work for the government of Somalia from 2012 to 2015. Interestingly, from May 2014 to October 2015 he worked for the Somali government as well as served as the managing director at Progressive a Health Care Services, Inc.
From May 2015 to June 2017 he worked only the managing director position. In June 2017 he became the Somali ambassador to the UN, doing both jobs until he left Progressive a Health Care Services, Inc in May 2019.
How is it that someone can serve as an ambassador to another country yet live and work a totally different job in the US?
