Honestly not sure about their condition. I didn't notice it originally in the video, but after reading the comments under the video, it appears that she wasn't just hit, but pistol whipped.

The force that he hit her upside the head with that pistol combined with her head hitting the road might have done critical harm. Also the man was possibly suffering gunshot wounds. Definitely serious injury intent.
