If McCabe is to be believed, it sounds as if Rosenstein was simply “brainstorming“ about ways in which a hypothetical Russian agent president could be removed quickly and easily, as compared to the time-consuming process of impeachment.
Would it have been in than improper use of the 25th? Of course. But if Trump HAD BEEN an actual Russian agent, I think we would have forgiven Rosenstein. (no, I do not think he was a Russian agent)

Yeah, well words like Treason and Coup are heavy words that are based on what is in the best interest of the USA. The personal interests of the POTUS do not always define the best interests of the USA.

I don’t think Trump was a Russian agent, either. He unwittingly assisted Putin’s goals of tearing down our democracy. I think he just had so many conflicts of interest with his personal dealings that he chose to put those ahead of the USA.

Also remember this was in May of 2017...barely 5 months into his presidency.
Trump wasn’t able to get the concentration camps built until the beginning of 2018 because he listened to Paul Ryan and tried to eliminate Obamacare...remember?
