The antibody/serology test is rarely performed, upon request is about the only time it's going to be applied .
Simple reason is that it doesn't ID an active case, it only lets you know if you have antibodies/prior case.
The vast majority of applications are to confirm an active case.
Genome sequencing is the only way to determine a unique strain or variant. To do so it requires specific testing (the results from the swab of the PCR test) and more importantly it requires a specific request to do so.
The antibody nor the rapid test can provide for a genome sequence. Only the PCR test can provide a live sample (no guarantee it's a real positive case, but you'll know after the genome sequence) for genome sequencing. Outside of that, the PCR test is flawed and worthless measure for covid.
Our state & federal govts are taking the steps to determine strains & variants, but at their own accord. Unless requested, you'll never know.
In short @ the clinical level they are assuming it's Delta vs actual confirmation. The assumption is based off of state/federal reports that X% of cases are going to be Delta or the variant of the month based on randomized sample testing from PCR tests.
It's assumption based 99.9% of the time.

Will branch covidians ever be able to live anything resembling a normal life again ? They all need therapy. Not to mention the oxygen deprivation

It exists, viruses can mutate
But your typical 15 minute rapid antigen test would not tell if you have the variant or not.
That requires a high level of lab testing. We’ve been living on this planet for a million years; it’s only for the past 100 or so is when we started developing chronic conditions all because of poor diet and poor medicine

Is it really? Comparing positive test results from then and now don't seem much different. I do wonder how much the outbreak of RSVP<---( not sure if I spelled that correctly ) amongst children this summer is playing into these numbers. Only real difference I see is they are tracking positive cases more and not so much deaths.
I suspect that they ramped up the test cycles back to 40+ and that is why we are seeing the positive cases spike. Back in late spring or early summer when they dropped the test cycles to 25-28 the Covid seemed to disappear. My theory is when they realized that a vast majority people said frick the vax and decided they wasn't going to take it they ramped the test cycle back to 40+ to create the fear of a new variant to get people to take the jab.

I can agree with this hypothesis.
IF there actually is one, why are they pushing vaccination as if it will help with a new strain?
I haven't seen any reports that "updated vaccines" are rolling out, unless the two strains are so closely related that it doesn't matter regarding the vaccine.

The vaccine does nothing for you just as masks do nothing for you. They’re trying to force it on you just because they are bullies and they enjoy the power and control. Just like rapists don’t rape for the sex they do it for the power and because that gives them a thrill

I agree with the latter but not the former. However, I think the message that vaccinating prevents the spread is ridiculous. A vaccine doesn't make you NOT a carrier.
