I know you asked Hank, but it should be from the desk of the president AND the Attorney General.

That is how “high-level” it should be.

Raiding a former president’s home is not something that should be enacted by a fricking low level magistrate judge.

I agree.

I just want to hear HIM say it.

This didn’t happen.

From a purely policy-level perspective, the decision should be made as high (at least) as the Attorney General, probably as high as the President.

If that did not happen, it is not "illegal," but it certainly shows extremely poor political judgment.

Per the White House, it DID NOT happen.

Whether you believe that or not is up to you, but if this was a rogue element in the FBI who “judge shopped” a low level magistrate judge (not even a federal judge), this is a partisan political nightmare.

There is plenty to comment at this point, with one major topic being the fact that no former president has ever had their home raided by the rival party in power in the 250 years of our Republic. Not once. Not even Nixon.

Why can’t y’all see that he’s just buying himself time??

The MSM hasn’t dropped their talking points yet so he really doesn’t have anything to go off of just yet..

As soon as they start REALLY spinning it, he will too. You’ll get your three paragraph word salad that says absolutely fricking nothing and he’ll expect you to accept it

Nobody is stupid enough to believe this, are they?

I neither believe nor disbelieve at this point. I've not seen any evidence one way or the other.

Agreed. Unlike the bulk of posters, I am just not rushing to judgment.

Honestly, it is significantly worse, IMO, if the WH didn’t sign off on it.

That means you have a rogue FBI element judge shopping to raid a former president’s home.

excuse us!
1. you think the neighbors outed the former president? neighbors had nothing to do with the constant rumors during the trump era that he failed to care for paperwork and even tore it up. neighbors were not involved.
2. are you recommending that federal employees help hide the crimes of politicians who commit crimes against the state?

I hate this terminology.

If crimes were committed, they were committed against the citizens of this country, not against the amorphous concept of "The State."

I disagree; we can deal with a rogue FBI office (they won't, but that's another issue). This is systemic political targeting.

Eric Holders statement, made virtually concurrently with the thug raid, is a good start of evidence

[and evidence of who is actually governing ILLEGALLY and UNCONSTITUTIONALLY
